How To Install Themes
The following guide will show you how to upload themes to your forum.
Background Information
The MyBB software combined with our multi-forum system makes it difficult to let users upload their own themes. To upload a MyBB theme, you need to first upload the images associated to the theme. Of course, we cannot allow access to users to be able to upload their own images, for security reasons. Therefore, you must request that we upload the images and check they are actually images, not malicious files.
If We Have Already Installed The Theme..
Installed themes are listed here. All you have to do is download the theme to your computer from the link we provide on the themes page. Extract the theme from the zipped folder. Finally, upload the themes .xml file(the main file) to your forum via the admin control panel themes and styles. Done!
If We Have Not Installed The Theme..
You will need to create a topic asking us to upload the images and for us to approve the theme. You can do so by creating a topic here. Then simply follow the guide above. Please note, our staff are busy improving our website all the time, try not to be upset if we reject your theme due to timing issues.
